How to Play Guitar Now
Ever wanted to be an amazing guitarist? Well with time and practice, it is very possible.
Instructions

Choose a style that suits you. If you enjoy playing blues, then learn blues songs, if you want to be a shredder, start learning metal music.

Be patient. Patience is a huge problem with learning guitar. A lot of people want to start learning complicated songs their first day. Start slow, and learn slow, it will eliminate the sloppiness, and you will perfect each song.

Get a Overdrive or Distortion pedal. Getting one of tthese pedals adds a great sound to any genre of music, and is a GREAT thing to have when playing guitar.

Learn scales, and warm ups. Scales are very helpful in learning how to make your own music. Warm ups are very good at helping getting better at finger movements, and picking patterns.

Learn to play with, and without a pick. Learning to play with a pick is very time consuming in the beginning, but adding in some finger-picking is a great way to add some edge to your playing.
Tips & Warnings
If you live in an apartment or have neighbors, try to be considerate of others and keep the volume at a tolerable level.
